Ingredients:

For Fried Tofu:

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Vegetable oil for frying

For Chili Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Instructions:

Fried Tofu:

  1. Press and Cut Tofu:

    • Press the tofu to remove excess water. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.

  2. Coat Tofu:

    • In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.

    • Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until well coated.

  3. Fry Tofu:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Fry the coated tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Chili Sauce:

  1. Prepare Sauce:
