Rachael’s Crispy Fish and Chips Recipe for Dinner

My friends always complain about their own fish and chips cooking as they can’t make it golden and delicious fish and chips like me. I often invite them to dinner. Last time I taught them how to prepare fish and chips Rachael’s style. I also thought to share with my community friends on Foodnetizens.

  • Yellow potatoes – 5 nos. or any no. depending on your chips requirements
  • Cod loins (skinless and boneless) – 2 nos.
  • Vegetable cooking oil – 500 ml bottle (Click here to buy my favourite)
  • Beer – 2 cans
  • Lemon – 1 or 2
  • Mint leaves (fresh)
  • Baking Powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Flour – 1 packet medium (Click here to buy my favourite)


  • Saucepan
  • Frying pan
  • Potato masher
  • Kitchen roll
  • Potatoe chip cutter machine

Make chips from the potatoes in the potato chips cutter machine. Take cooking oil in a saucepan. Heat it on a medium flame. Allow it to reach 150-200 C and then fry the chips. Simmer for 3-5 minutes and drain and dry on kitchen roll.

Take flour and add it to a bowl and pour beer into it. Now coat your fish cods with flour. Fry them on a medium flame until golden.

That’s it. Your chips and fish is ready to eat. Use lemon and mint leaves now to make it more delicious.
